I am so excited to be running again for Town Council. This will be the fourth time running for the position of Town Councillor. Some may ask, ‘why haven’t you given up’. The simple answer to that is, I can’t, not when I know how much is at risk for Cochrane.  I have spent over a decade listening to the Cochrane Taxpayers. Throughout that time, I have never stopped talking to or believing in people. I am more confident than ever that I have the right skills, supports and plans to help council reach its full potential!

My main focus will be on these main points:

-We must restore budget fundamentals. I have a multi layered business strategy that will ‘hold the line’ or reduce taxes, build jobs in Cochrane and save Cochrane Taxpayers money.

-There must be a greater focus on transparency and accountability through greater public consultation. There is still SO much more that can be done.

-I will focus on addressing the Cochranes other needs such as Traffic, seniors, the environment, advocating for 24/7 emergency health care in Cochrane, adequate emergency services coverage and greater help for our community partners.

I also have some other ideas that I think people will be excited about as well.

My commitments are based on open and honest communication with people. I want to build on the best of what has currently taking place but with a fresh look. I’m not out to make changes for the sake of making changes. My approach is to debate a topic or idea, not a person. While these statements might seem ‘basic’ or even boring, the effects are not.

I have robust and carefully considered plans that are practical and based on facts. I am excited to be a voice for positive change in council. I look forward to our conversations!

As part of my commitment to you I will be providing you with specific information about each area of focus. You will have this information by September.

I look forward to hearing from you!
